Five years ago, the Spencer Church decided to take the next step in spreading God’s message to our community and the world by getting involved in social media.
Not wanting to do too much too soon, we started with a YouTube channel and waited a couple years to add a Twitter account and eventually a Facebook page.
Today we have over 10,700 Twitter followers, nearly 13,000 video views on YouTube, and about 180-200 people visit our church website each week.
People from all over the world watch our sermons. From prayer requests from Kenya to content being shared by non-members in our local community, we are making connections and building relationships for the Kingdom.
If your church is not using social media I would encourage you start. Not only will your church be blessed, but there may be someone watching who will one day tell you, in heaven, that they first learned about Jesus through one of your social media pages.
