Members from several northeastern Iowa churches and surrounding areas met at Backbone State Park for the Northeast Backbone Rally on Aug. 14.

While adult attendees listened to speaker Ed Dickerson preach “A Saving Relationship” during the first session, children attendees painted canvasses under the supervision of Kathleen Bonjour.

Attendees reconnected during a quick break between Dickerson’s first and second session. Following the conclusion of the second session, Backbone Rally participants filled three picnic tables with food for a potluck.

In the afternoon, Pride Family Music gave a concert where the family asked for the audience to sing along if they knew the songs.

Shortly after the concert many attendees gathered on a bridge above a creek to witness a baptism.

At the campground in the evening participants roasted hotdogs and again joined together in worship.

There is already a speaker secured for next year and attendees look forward to meeting again at that time.
