The Nixa Church recently began utilizing technology to better connect with visitors. Each guest is invited to fill out a quick survey on a church-owned iPad. Nothing is required, but guests may provide basic contact information including their name, email address and/or phone number if they want to receive information about upcoming events or if they are interested in Bible studies. There’s also a place for them to include any specific prayer requests they may have.
The survey is also available on a printed Connection Card, which is available on the back of each pew, along with tithe envelopes and prayer cards.
The church ensures that each guest who fills out a survey receives a response via text or email later that day or the next, thanking them for coming and welcoming them back.
During the time between Sabbath school and the worship service, the church has also started running announcements on screens all over the church. The announcements also run during announcement time and following each worship service.
The church is working on a printed brochure that will provide information about the church’s ministries, contact information and more, and will soon be redeveloping the church’s website and Facebook page to provide a better place for live streaming and archiving of weekly services, announcements, special music, and discussions on variety of topics.
