Members of the Lebanon Church got together on December 13 to bake cookies for the local Sheriff’s, Police, and Fire departments as a token of the church’s appreciation for their service. Ten varieties and more than 800 cookies were made, and they were delivered fresh that afternoon to each of the departments, and again the next morning to the new shifts, with a card attached expressing appreciation for all they do for the church and community.

The church developed a relationship with the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office following a break-in a couple years ago. They have been doing an excellent job patrolling the church premises and often leave a card to say they have been by. Occasionally, the deputy will even sign the card, “God bless.”

The church is grateful for each of the men and women serving in these departments who risk their lives to keep the community safe.
