Members of the Kansas City Central Church recently traded their pews for a view at nearby Longview Lake.
It was a perfect day, with beautiful weather, wonderful music, sweet fellowship and delicious food. Students participating in the Youth Alive student literature evangelism program in the Kansas City area this summer led out in worship and praise songs, and a special music was provided by Brothers in Christ, the church’s men’s group.
The highlight of the day was welcoming new member Peggy Rivers in a special profession of faith ceremony. She recently moved to the Kansas City area from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she had been introduced to the Adventist faith by her son and had been studying prior to moving. Peggy said she found a warm and welcoming family at Kansas City Central and is happy to have found a new home with us here.
