For the past five years, students and teachers from around the Iowa-Missouri Conference participate in the Give One to Save One campaign.
Each March, the Give One to Save One campaign encourages every student and teacher to give anywhere from 25 cents to $1 each week throughout the month of March to support the Evangelism Fund Offering collected conference-wide on the last Sabbath of March.
The schools turn in their money to the local church and report it to the conference education department. The goal each year is based on the number of students and teachers in our schools.
For the 2017-18 school year the goal was $400. The students and teachers exceeded the goal by raising $701, the largest amount raised to date. Several schools presented the money raised during worship services on Sabbath, Mar. 31, and challenged their church members to also get involved in supporting the Evangelism Fund.
We hope our students not only develop a relationship with Jesus and perform well academically, but have an opportunity to serve others as well. Many of our schools have outreach projects, and this is not intended to replace any of those.
I have challenged our teachers and students to work together to accomplish a goal each year for the Conference Evangelism Fund Offering and, so far, the students and teachers have consistently exceeded that goal.
