Remote Area Medical (RAM), with the support of several Seventh-day Adventist Des Moines area churches, will host a medical clinic June 26-27.

The clinic, which will open at 6 am on June 26, will provide patients with free medical, dental and vision services.

According to RAM’s website, “Every RAM clinic is free and open to the public. There are no qualifying questions and ID is not required.”

The idea to invite RAM to Des Moines began in 2019 after Des Moines Metro Adventist Radio (DMMAR) President Bob Carr volunteered at a RAM clinic in Cape Girardeau. Excited by what he saw and experienced, Carr approached the DMMAR Board about the possibility of inviting RAM to the Des Moines area. The DMMAR Board embraced the idea.

“RAM is providing a much-needed service for our community,” Carr said. “We want to show people that we, as Seventh-day Adventists, are here to help.”
