The Oak Grove church recently celebrated two baptisms following a seminar on the Old Testament sanctuary. Derek and Stevie Steffens, a young married couple who had been studying with members for a while, responded to an altar call at the end of the series.
The series, called “The Journey of the Cross – As Revealed in the Ancient Tabernacle,” featured a scale model of the tabernacle the Israelites had in the wilderness. It was presented by Dr. Darwin Whitman, founder and teacher of Sanctuary Classes International in Dayton, Tennessee. Whitman has been traveling around North America since 1986, teaching people about the sanctuary and helping them apply the meanings of its symbols to their lives.
