On December 22, the Council Bluffs church showed their appreciation for area frontline healthcare workers by distributing 60 gift bags filled with snacks and treats, tissues, a reusable water bottle, lip balm, hand lotion, and several other items. Included in each bag were also Christmas greetings, a thank-you card, inspirational Bible verses, and a sharing book.
Items were donated by church members, friends, and businesses. The cards were specially printed with the church’s information on them and were hand signed by each volunteer who helped assemble and distribute the gift bags. The bags were delivered to CHI Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs and given to medical staff working with COVID-19 patients. Click through the slideshow above to see photos.
Members of the Council Bluffs church participate in a similar community outreach project each quarter. We love our community and enjoy showing God’s love to others!
